MONTESSORI TEACHER:
Qualifications: Seeking qualified and trained Montessori teacher for children ages 3.0-6.0. Must have a BA or BS, preferably in Education and with Montessori Certification. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years
teaching experience, shows initiative and confidence, and is able to work as a team with Co-Teachers and Assistants. This person is someone who can create a well-organized learning environment and has excellent
classroom –management skills. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with education and experience.

MONTESSORI TODDLER TEACHER:
Qualifications: Seeking teacher with Montessori Infant/Toddler training for children ages 2.0-3.0. Must be patient, loving and enjoys nurturing toddlers. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years teaching experience, with
proficient oral and written communication skills, and is able to work as a team with Co-Teachers and Assistants. This person has excellent classroom management skills and promotes feelings and trust in toddlers. Fluency
in Spanish is a plus.
Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with education and experience.

ASSISTANTS/INTERS:
Qualifications: Must have at least 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units and at least two years experience working with young children, either 2.0-3.0 years or 3.0-6.0 years of age. This person is an energetic team
player, shows initiative and confidence, has good communication skills, and is interested in learning about the Montessori method of education. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Salary: $14.00-$17.00 an hour.

Brief Description of School and Community:
R-MOM is located in beautiful Mill Valley, Marin County. This school is our second site (first school was founded in 1984). We will be opening in late September 2009. We will ultimately serve 72 children
ages 2.0-6.0. Each classroom will have a full-time Spanish-speaking Teacher on team to provide a Spanish immersion component. R-MOM respects the whole being of the child and is dedicated to the
development of each one’s potential.

Be a “volunteer, guest teacher” at Victoria Montessori School
Victoria Montessori School, Entebbe, Uganda, is currently the only AMS school in Uganda, East Africa. Founded in 2001 by Chhristine Kijange
and her husband, Joseph, the school serves children from 2 to 12 years of age, including refuge/orphans from the Gulu District of Northern Uganda.
Christine was chosen in 2006 to receive the AMS Ursula Thrush Peace Seed Grant to start “Peace Clubs” in area schools in Uganda.
Volunteer, guest teacher opportunities are available at the toddler level, the 3-6 level and the 6-9 level. (The upper grades are
traditionally taught at the current time.) English is spoken as Uganda is part of the British Commonwealth. The school year in Uganda begins

Trevor Martin Montessori School, San Francisco, CA
ASSISTING and TEACHING POSITIONS – Montessori Pre-School
We are looking for candidates who work well with young children, candidates who are
happy educating 2.6 to 5 year olds, and who can communicate effectively with parents
and contribute to the schools mission / environment - which is anchored in the philosophy
of Maria Montessori. Our objective is to preserve a small - scale environment committed
to providing excellence in Early Childhood Education. We are located in San Francisco’s
sunbelt, in a private three-story building that has undergone extensive renovation. The
school occupies the building's first floor/lower flat. The upper floor is a residence.
Communities we serve are: Bernal Heights; Noe Valley; Potrero Hill; Haight Ashbury;
Mission; Glen Park; Excelsior, and Sunset.
The school has THREE openings-all connected. All three positions begin September 1,
2008 and are described below.
1. FULL-TIME ASSISTANT TEACHER ~ This is an opportunity for student teachers
and experienced teachers to acquire knowledge, experience, and practical skills in the
field of Early Childhood Education and the Montessori Method. Salary and benefits are
very competitive, commensurate with qualifications. This is a salaried position - pay is on
a steady, bimonthly basis that includes fully paid health and dental benefits. The post
requires 12 or more appropriate units in Early Childhood Education, OR a Montessori
Credential, OR appropriate college degree. Experience in the Sciences, Arts and Crafts is
desirable. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Depending on candidate, this schedule could
be adjusted accordingly.
2. PART-TIME ASSISTANT ~ The post requires 6 or more appropriate Units in Early
Childhood Education. Hours are 9 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Salary to be
discussed at time of application. Experience preferred, but not necessary.
3. PART-TIME AFTERNOON ASSOCIATE TEACHER ~ Responsible for the school’s
afternoon program, this teacher needs to be comfortable with academic responsibility and
autonomy. The post requires 12 or more appropriate units in Early Childhood Education,
OR a Montessori Credential, OR appropriate college degree. Experience with craft
making is desirable. Salary to be discussed at time of application. Hours are 3:00 p.m. to
6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
